Open House Highlights: "Terp Talk" explores Black and Latine student life at UMD
On April 5, the university welcomed over 4,000 admitted students and their families to campus for a vibrant Open House event. Among the many engaging sessions was "Terp Talk: Black and Latine Student Experience," where students from the Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education’s (OMSE) College Success Scholars (CSS) Program and La Familia Program shared their experiences, offered insights, and answered questions about life at UMD. The session provided a welcoming space for incoming students to learn more about the supportive communities and resources available to them, highlighting the university’s ongoing commitment to inclusion and student success.
