Harriet Tubman Day Celebration

The Harriet Tubman Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies will host their first annual celebration of Harriet Tubman Day to mark the department’s name change. Speakers include Ernestine (Tina) Wyatt, a descendant of Harriet Tubman and a UMD alum, as well as faculty and students who have been inspired to draw on Harriet Tubman’s legacy in their work.
