Dish It Up | Comanches in Cinema

The University of Illinois hosts Dr. Dustin Tahmahkera, an enrolled citizen of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, an interdisciplinary scholar of North American indigeneities, critical media, and sound and an Associate Professor in the Program in American Indian Studies at the University of Illinois. He will be presenting his work on representations of Native and Indigenous people in the media and how understanding this can lead to a more nuanced understanding of other contemporary issues.
