Anti-Asian Hate & the Mental Health Crisis on College Campuses

  • to
  • Event Location Online

As anti-Asian hate crimes continue to surge in the US, higher education institutions are uniquely positioned to provide support for Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) students, and become spaces for AAPI wellness. Join the University of Michigan's National Center for Institutional Diversity for a live Zoom discussion with experts from Asian American Studies, University Counseling Services, and Higher Education Administration. Experts will discuss AAPI college student experiences, positionalities, and mental health, and then provide recommendations, both structural and individual, for improving AAPI student well-being. Panelists will also discuss strategies for improving student mental health and achieving a more racially equitable campus. Co-sponsored by The Steve Fund.
