2021 ADVANCE Distinguished Speaker featuring President Ruth J. Simmons

Please join the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences for a conversation with President Simmons as she reflects on her experiences as a Black woman scholar in academic leadership. Her experiences in leading both an HBCU and one of the "Seven Sisters" provide unique insights on the intersection of race and gender in academe. Jean McGloin, the BSOS ADVANCE Professor, will moderate the discussion, and both President Darryll Pines and Dean Greg Ball will offer introductory remarks.
